It was one of the most succinct summaries I could lay my hands to of Bordwell's rendering of syuzhet/fabula distinction. I am more than happy to point people preferedly in the direction of your more recent work on these topics.Catherine Granthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15844538902594202591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925395536023721138.post-50126826810602468152010-09-08T05:00:46.552+01:002010-09-08T05:00:46.552+01:00Great list! (It's so awful I don't even list it on my CV). It was part of an attempt to try to explain some things from a constructivist point of view, but there are about three versions of this and only the one regarding film history makes any sort of sense. I would encourage everybody to do something more worthwhile with their time than read this.

This week's blog post on Research into Film will also be looking at models that can be used for empirical research into narrative comprehension. This will be much much better (though that will not be difficult).Nick Redfernhttp://nickredfern.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-925395536023721138.post-34905993885411820052010-09-07T15:58:06.899+01:002010-09-07T15:58:06.899+01:00Catherine, I will be expecting each and every one ...Catherine, I will be expecting each and every one of my final-year students to write you a personal letter of thanks for this collection of links.
